During our unit on Fairy Tales, the students each brought something from home to try to save Humpty Dumpty when he fell off the wall! Ziva's bonnet did not save him; Isabelle's bubble wrap and box saved him; Lylah's bag of cotton balls saved him; T's pillow saved him; Kayleigh's bags and box saved him! Thank you to the parents for helping with this project!

Due to extreme weather conditions, there will be no school or after-school activities on Friday, January 23. Middle School Volleyball practice is cancelled for Thursday, January 22. The High School Boys Basketball game scheduled for Friday, January 23, against Washburn has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 17, at 7:00 pm. The Middle School Volleyball game on Friday, January 23, will be rescheduled.

During our unit on Winter, we made snow ice cream! We got 8 cups of clean snow from the courtyard, added a can of sweetened condensed milk and a tsp of vanilla and mixed it all together! The fresh snow was very fluffy and it became more of a vanilla milkshake but the students still thought it was yummy! We are in our pajamas because we did are homework each night and earned a pajama party!

During our unit on Fairy Tales, we made a gingerbread man! Ms.Nancy baked him in the school kitchen but when he was cooling, he ran away! He is running around somewhere in the school and hopefully we find him!

During our unit on Snowmen, the weather did not cooperate for us to really build a snowman so we just put some chunks of snow together to be a snowman!

During our unit on Snowmen, we made snowmen out of marshmallows, rolo, twizzler and pretzel sticks! The face and buttons are with edible markers!

During our unit on Christmas, we exchanged gifts and ate snacks!










During our unit on Winter Holidays, we talked about Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and the birth of Jesus! We made potato latkes to celebrate Hanukkah! Everyone got to grate potatoes!








Family members of the 4K and Kindergarten classes were invited to the school to enjoy the pumpkin and pecan pies we made earlier in the week! Thank you to all the family members who joined us!


First Graders decorated a turkey feather with visuals that represented something's they are thankful for. Students were grateful for snakes, snowmobiles and even Stitch. We then put the feathers together to create our turkey!









The Kindergarten class made pecan pie to share with their families! Levlynn added the Karo syrup and the vanilla, Ryder added the sugar and the pecans, and Forest added the butter and the pecans!






The 4K class made pumpkin pies to share with their families! Kayleigh added the pumpkin, Isabelle added the evaporated milk, T added the sugar, Ziva added the salt and Lylah added all the spices!






The first snowy day of recess!





During our unit on Family, we wrote letters to our parents and thanked them for being our family. We walked to the post office and mailed the letters! The 4K students wrote their name in the return space of the envelope and the Kindergarten students wrote their whole address by themselves!










During our unit on Native Ojibwe culture, we made fry bread! Kayleigh and Lylah added the flour, Isabelle and Ryder added the water, Levlynn added the milk, Ziva added the yeast, T added the salt and Forest added the sugar. We rolled them in cinnamon and sugar!
