Outdoor Education recently had another valuable learning experience in partnership with the North Lakeland Discovery Center, focusing on agriculture. Students explored best practices for gardening in Northern Wisconsin and gained hands-on experience preparing healthy snacks using fresh produce, including pickles, salad dressing, and hummus.

During our unit on Insects, we went out into the courtyard to find real insects! We found a pill bug, ants with their eggs, a centipede (not an insect), a worm (also not an insect) and when we came inside we found a spider in our classroom (again, not an insect)!

During our unit on Wisconsin, we talked about how there are lots of dairy cows in Wisconsin and that cheese is made from the milk from the cows! Each student brought in a different type of cheese and we had a cheese tasting! Some of us had more than one favorite cheese! Provolone got the most votes!
