On Tuesday, May 20th the Science Club hosted an Invention Convention at the Mercer Public Library!
This is an event where students share creative ideas or inventions that solve problems or make things better. It’s important for students because it helps them think creatively, work with others, and practice presenting. It encourages them to be problem-solvers and forward-thinking leaders in their communities!
Students, Staff, and Community Members were invited to listen to pitches and judge each invention. We are so proud of all the students! The winners were: 1st place - The Bus Buddy, 2nd place - Insight X, Favorite Invention - The Sonic Striker!

A humorous turn of events....
Please help the Seniors locate their FLAMINGOS!

The Environmental Science students showcased their research answering the essential question: "What actions can I take to address an environmental challenge in our community, and how can we engage others in creating a positive impact?" at The North Lakeland Discovery Center on Thursday.
The students researched, designed, and developed solutions to create a meaningful impact. They showcased their projects with confidence and thoughtfully answered questions. It was an impressive display of talent and hard work!
