The State Tournament
Below you'll find some pictures of the guys' last day out on the ice. It was a successful season!
State Tournament
From Coach Amanda:
"The tournament was called the WIFA East-West Trifecta. We were paired with Bonduel High School and were competing against other school pairings. The overall tournament goal was to catch fish to get the most inches, and while we didn’t win that, we did do well in some of the other categories. Josh caught the top Bluegill, 9.5”, in the tournament. He also was able to catch two others that were over 9”, which led to Mercer getting first place in the Bluegill stringer category as well. Laken, Richie and Kyler also got some Bluegills that were over 8”. In addition, Josh and Kyler also caught some Largemouth Bass, and the one Kyler caught was 17”. Since Josh got the first place Bluegill, he will be getting a prize from WIFA."
