Celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday

Mercer Pre-K thru 3rd grades had fun partnering up and reading, snacking on some popcorn and enjoying each others' company in honor of Dr. Seuss.

As part of a nationwide effort called Read Across America, students gathered in the cafeteria on a Monday, March 2nd, in the afternoon, where Mrs. Nuce, the Mercer 2nd Grade teacher and master of ceremonies, announced the rules. Simply put, students were to partner with a non-grade level peer, Rock Paper Scissors to see who goes first, and Read.

Dr. Suess would be proud of the time these red and blue fish spent reading, laughing and munching on popcorn. What a great way to spend the afternoon!
